Tsholofelo Gomba
[University of Pretoria] [ML] [NLP]
Tsholofelo Gomba was a member of DSFSI until 2024.
I was a Master's in Computer Science student with my research focused on the interpretability of neural machine translations for low resource languages. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Information and Knowledge Systems, and an Honours degree in Computer Science where I focused on semantic analysis in natural language processing (NLP) from the University of Pretoria. This background has sparked my interest in pursuing further research in NLP.
Outside of my academics, I was a full-stack software engineer with experience across various domains.
When I was not coding, you'll find me learning something new. I was learning and enjoying figure skating and taekwondo. I enjoyed a somewhat active lifestyle which includes swimming, gym and long walks.
