Kudzaishe Nyika

Kudzaishe Nyika is a BSc Honours Computer Science student at the University of Pretoria, where she is affiliated with the Data Science for Social Impact (DSFSI) research group. Her undergraduate studies consisted of a double major in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from the University of Cape Town. Her capstone research project focuses on AI ethics, fairness, and governance in multilingual African contexts, specifically examining how misinformation detection systems perform across low-resource African languages. Her academic interests sit at the intersection of AI, natural language processing, and the social responsibilities of technology. Kudzaishe's technical skills include Python, Java, and C++, and her honours coursework spans Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Data Mining, Computer and Information Security, and Digital Forensics.
